Joe Burrow has become the latest NFL star to have his mansion burglarized in the middle of a game, after thieves ransacked his $7.5million Cincinnati home while he played in Dallas on Monday night.

Hamilton County (Ohio) sheriffs confirmed reports of a break-in at Burrow’s property in the suburb of Anderson Township, while the quarterback was 1000 miles away at AT&T Stadium.

According to reports, there was a shattered window in the bedroom – which was ransacked by intruders – while a terrified woman made the call to cops.

The mystery deepened on Tuesday afternoon when it was revealed that the call was made by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Ponton, and not his long-time partner Olivia Holzmacher. 

It is not known whether Burrow and Holzmacher are still together, but it was previously reported that they were engaged and no break-up has been confirmed by either party.

‘Someone is trying to break into the house right now. My daughter is there,’ the initial caller told police. ‘This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house.

Then, the daughter called 911 herself, saying, ‘Someone broke into my house. It’s like completely messed up.’

It is also reported that Ponton told cops that she was ’employed’ by Burrow when she made the call to notify them about the break-in.

A man, who a dispatcher confirmed was working security at the house, could also be overheard talking to the ‘daughter’ on the phone.

WLWT reports that radio traffic from Monday indicated that there was an officer on detail at his house that evening – and confirmed the broken windows.

Earlier this year, the NFL issued a security alert to teams and the NFL player’s union after recent burglaries of the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The memo, obtained by the Associated Press, said that the homes of athletes across many sports have become ‘increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups.’

Burrow has been dating Olivia Holzmacher since they met while he attended Ohio State. They stayed together after Burrow transferred to LSU, where he finished his college football career.

Burrow purchased the mansion – which sits on three acres and overlooks the Ohio River – back in late 2023.

According to the listing (via the New York Post), the house spans 7,300 square feet and features four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

While he was away, Burrow was leading the Bengals to a 27-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Burrow completed 33-of-44 passes for 369 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception in the game.

That included a game-winning drive after the Cowboys muffed a punt – where Burrow connected with top target Ja’Marr Chase.

Cincinnati is now 5-8 on the season and currently sit on the brink of playoff elimination. 

They next play on the road at the Tennessee Titans.
