The show’s creator called Charlie Kirk a “Nazi” so now the right is up in arms about the show’s “pro-trans content.”

Elon Musk is throwing his X weight around with a call to followers to cancel Netflix after a trans-affirming kids show creator called Charlie Kirk “a random Nazi.”
In a post to the billionaire’s now-toxic MAGA mouthpiece, Musk reshared another user’s announcement that they’re canceling the world’s most popular streaming service over the show that Netflix already canceled in 2023.
In other reshares featuring memes attacking the show, Musk declared, “This is not ok,” and “Cancel Netflix for the health of your kids.”
Exhibit A in the laughably hypocritical “cancel culture” case is a clip promoted by the self-loathing MAGA collaborators Gays Against Groomers and online scowl Chaya Raichik of Libs of TikTok, featuring a trans teen on the animated kids series “Dead End: Paranormal Park.”
Their damning evidence?
“I’ve never been happier,” says the blue-haired kid with a talking pug in a clip from the show.
“Pugsey reminded me how important it is to live your life without apology.”
Netflix declined to renew the series from creator and graphic novelist Hamish Steele in 2023, after a two-season run. The streamer’s description highlighted the show’s LGBTQ+ affirmation.
“This spooky-but-sweet series follows a diverse group of employees at a haunted theme park, complete with vengeful spirits, a talking pug and LGBTQ+ love.”
Musk boosted his crusade against the so-called “woke mind virus” after rightwing followers called out the show creator’s description of slain anti-trans podcaster Charlie Kirk as “a random Nazi,” in a post attacking British Prime Minister Kier Starmer for his public condolence following Kirk’s death.
“Why the f**k are you even commenting, d**khead?” Steele posted to X. “You show sympathy for families affected by your weapons, but a random Nazi gets shot and it’s a public statement. You’re such a f**king evil s**t.”
After Netflix ended the show’s run back in 2023, Steele lamented the cancellation but praised the streamer for taking it on.
“It was always the plan to give these characters the proper ending they deserve. But sadly, the powers that be don’t want any more,” Steele said.
“I want to emphasize my gratitude to Netflix for commissioning the show and for giving us the freedom to tell this story,” he added.
In a series of posts to Bluesky, now deleted, Steele defended his comments about the rightwing influencer.
“My Instagram comments are now flooded with replies saying I AM CHARLIE KIRK and that I celebrated his death (which I never did).”
