BREAKING NEWS : Jalen Hurts Sends Important Information To Eagles Fans As Landon Dickerson Collapses On The Field After Being Taken To Hospital
The Philadelphia Eagles dodged a bullet with Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson, who was injured during Sunday’s public practice at Lincoln Financial Field.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Dickerson will undergo minor surgery on his right knee and will be considered “week to week” once he returns.
“#Eagles Pro Bowl G Landon Dickerson, who suffered a meniscus injury on Sunday night, is having minor knee surgery in the coming days, per me and @MikeGarafolo. He’s considered week-to-week, with the goal of being available to begin the regular season,” Rapoport reported on Monday afternoon.
But Dickerson isn’t the only guard who will be sidelined “week to week” for Philly.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kenyon Green will also be monitored weekly with a shoulder injury.
“Landon Dickerson isn’t the only Eagles guard who is now considered week to week. Kenyon Green, whom the Eagles acquired in an off-season trade, also is what one source described as “week to week” with a shoulder injury that is likely to end his preseason,” Schefter reported on Tuesday morning.
Green, who was carted off the field during the Eagles’ preseason win against the Cincinnati Bengals last week, has had an NFL career riddled with injuries. Since being drafted by the Houston Texans in 2022, he has spent significant time on Injured Reserve due to knee and shoulder injuries.
The Eagles acquired Green this offseason via trade with the Texans, which sent safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to Houston. He allowed five sacks on 582 snaps played last season, ranking 117th out of 136 guards in the league.
With Dickerson and Green out, the Eagles will turn to Matt Pryor, Brett Toth, and Trevor Keegan to fill those voids. Philly could also move Tyler Steen from right guard.
