Tiger Woods is praying for the late LPGA superstar Nelly Korda. After her family announced her health condition…

With the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship just around the corner and all eyes are on Nelly Korda.

The World No. 1 showed up to Tuesday’s media availability wearing kinesiology tape on her neck, setting off a wave of concern among fans. After a season far from her usual dominant self, people wonder if Korda will even be at full strength by the time she tees off on Thursday.

This time last year, Korda was riding an incredible run. She won seven tournaments in 2024, reasserting herself as the most consistent force in women’s golf.

But 2025 hasn’t gone quite the same way. She came close at the U.S. Women’s Open earlier this month, falling short to Sweden’s Maja Stark.

And now, a neck injury she aggravated at Fields Ranch East has raised fresh concerns about her readiness for one of the season’s biggest stages.

The 25-year-old didn’t hide her discomfort during Tuesday’s media session.

“It’s getting better, but yeah, it was not very good yesterday,” Korda said. “Obviously with the injury that I had last year, every single time something kind of flares up in my neck now, I think I feel it a little bit more than what I used to.”

The pain forced her to skip Monday night’s champions dinner, a sign that things might be more serious than stiffness. Fans didn’t miss that detail, and they didn’t stay silent either.

“Wish you a speedy recovery, one fan posted on X.

Wish you a speedy recovery….Health is much more important than golf.

Another added, “Rest up Nelly.”

Others pointed fingers at course conditions: “Those roughs on the course were really difficult. Hopefully the crew will fix the roughs when the first round starts.”

@NellyLegion Those roughs on the course were really difficult hopefully the crew will fix the roughs when the first round starts. 😞 You will rest your neck and hopefully you will be good for the first round on Thursday.👍

While Korda hasn’t said whether she plans to make any adjustments to her schedule, the clock is ticking. She has under 48 hours to get her body right for a test that won’t allow much margin for error.

Oddsmakers still have her as the favorite, a testament to her talent, but no one’s betting on pain.

For now, fans are hoping that a few days of rest and treatment will be enough for Korda to show up on Thursday and do what she does best.
